SCOPE:

As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the sales department's activities to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth. Your primary objective will be to develop and execute effective sales strategies, mentor, and motivate the sales team, develop, and cultivate a hybrid call center model, expand our direct-to-consumer operations, and collaborate with other departments to enhance overall organizational success.

DUTIES:

• Sales Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's business objectives, market trends, and competitive landscape. Regularly assess and adjust the strategies to optimize performance.
• Revenue Target Achievement: Set ambitious sales targets and goals for the sales team and ensure the consistent achievement of revenue objectives through effective planning and execution.
• Sales Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage the sales team to foster a high-performing and motivated workforce. Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to individual team members to maximize their potential
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Implement metrics and KPIs to measure the sales team's performance and track progress toward achieving targets. Prepare regular reports for senior management. Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals
• Training and Development: Identify skill gaps within the sales team and conduct training programs to enhance their capabilities in selling insurance products effectively.
• Market Research: Stay updated with industry trends, customer needs, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for product development and market penetration.
• Collaboration: Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with marketing, underwriting, product development, claims, and other relevant departments to align sales efforts and achieve company-wide goals.
• Customer Relationship Management: Oversee the implementation and utilization of customer relationship management (CRM) tools to improve customer interactions, track leads, and drive customer retention.
• Sales Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance the sales process to streamline operations, boost efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction .
• Budget Management: Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately to support long-term growth strategies.
• Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure the sales team complies with all relevant industry regulations and company policies.

EDUCATION:

• Master's degree preferred but not required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Associate degree in accounting a plus.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience (8+ years) in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the insurance industry.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance products, industry practices, and market trends.
• Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and meeting revenue targets.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse sales team.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in using data to make informed decisions.
• Familiarity with CRM software and sales-related technologies.
• A customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering outstanding service.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to compliance with industry regulations.
